We think that a pre-grievance intervention is what should happen before there is a grievance.
Think of SpatzAI as a workplace smoke-alarm system. You don’t wait until the building is burning before deciding what to do.
1. The spark or Friction — something happens.
Jim says, “Babe, that’ll never work. What the hell were you thinking?!” It may be minor problematic behavior from Jim, but Sue thinks the delivery crossed a line — not that he disagreed with her.
2. The alarm — Caution.
Sue simply says, “Caution.” Like a smoke alarm, it doesn’t declare anyone guilty. It signals: something here needs attention.
3. Contain it — Resolve or Escalate.
Jim can acknowledge it and they move on. Fire out. If he challenges or ignores her caution, Sue can escalate automatically — up to two more times using the SpatzChat™ app, rather than escalating emotionally.
4. Call in the fire crew — Team & AI Review.
If they still can’t resolve it, their chat is automatically posted onto their team platform for an agreed team and AI review of the behavior and delivery in question. Not who has the most authority or the loudest voice.
5. Only then — grievance territory.
Most sparks or friction should never become fires. But if the behaviour is not acknowledged or repeated, there is now a documented pathway into management, HR or a formal grievance process.
That’s SpatzAI: don’t build a better fire brigade. Catch the smoke earlier.
