The STAIR way to resolving conflicts refers to the Spatz Team-assist & AI Review (STAIR) platform, a cutting-edge concept designed to address micro-conflicts before they escalate into larger workplace issues. Built on the Spatz Chat app, the review platform, STAIR provides a structured approach for teams to identify, track, and ultimately resolve objectionable behavior in a fair and transparent manner.
At its core, SpatzAI helps teams navigate difficult conversations by highlighting uncivil behaviors in real time. Instead of allowing minor grievances to simmer and eventually explode into full-blown conflicts, this self-correcting mechanism enables team members to course-correct each other using 1. Caution, 2. Objection, and 3. Stopping behaviors that impact collaboration and psychological safety.
How SpatzAI STAIR Way Works
0️⃣ Verbal Caution – Is the initial unofficial pause step in the Spatz process, where an employee flags an issue with a colleague. This is a low-pressure way to address behavior before it becomes problematic. If the verbal caution is ignored or challenged, it can be escalated to the SpatzChat app using an official caution.
1️⃣ Official Caution – If a verbal caution doesn’t resolve the issue then the first official step is initiated using the SpatzChat app to send an official caution to the infringing person and hoping for an acknowledgment of their infringement. If the caution is not forthcoming or challenged one can up the ante.
2️⃣ Official Objection – If a official caution doesn’t resolve the issue, a team member can issue an official objection (step 2 via the Spatz Chat app). This step requires a simple apology to acknowledge the concern and maintain workplace harmony.
3️⃣ Official Stop – When an official objection still isn’t resolved, the issue moves to the STAIR (Spatz Team-assist & AI Review) platform, where the Spatz AI and their team reviews come into play. This process bypasses traditional hierarchies, ensuring a fairer resolution based on collective team input rather than managerial biases.
The goal of the STAIR platform is not to punish but to enable teams to self-correct in a structured and objective manner. By integrating AI and peer evaluation, SpatzAI creates accountability while fostering a culture of fairness and respect.
With the STAIR way to resolving workplace conflict, organizations can transform conflict from a liability into a tool for collaboration and innovation. Instead of avoiding difficult conversations, teams will have the confidence to engage, resolve, and grow together.
